Sanandaj;  Sending Zahra Mohammadi on leave

Hana; Zahra Mohammadi, 39, a Kurdish language teacher and a member of the Nozhin Socio-Cultural Association of the Sanandaj Correctional Center, was sent on leave for the first time on Sunday, June 26, 2022.



According to reports received from Hana colleagues; Zahra Mohammadi's father is hospitalized in the intensive care unit of a hospital in Sanandaj and has been sent on a ten-day leave with the consent of Sanandaj prison officials and security agencies. It should be noted that she was arrested on January 8, 2022, after being summoned to the Sanandaj Judiciary, and was transferred to the Sanandaj Correctional Center to serve her sentence. Zahra Mohammadi was arrested by the security forces on May 23, 2019, and was released from Sanandaj Prison on December 2, 2019, on 700 million Tomans bail until the end of the trial. In July 2020, she was sentenced to 10 years in prison by the First Branch of the Revolutionary Court of Sanandaj on charges of forming a gang with the intention of disrupting national security.  The sentence was reduced to five years in prison by Branch Four of the Kurdistan Province Appeals Court, headed by Judge Mostafa Tayyari, in February 2021.
