Mojgan Kavousi and Sakineh Parvaneh went on a hunger strike

Hana: Two Kurdish political prisoners in Mashhad Central Prison, Sakineh Parvaneh and Mojgan Kavousi, went on a hunger strike to protest the lack of access to medical facilities and the inhumane treatment of prison officials.

Mojgan Kavousi, a political prisoner, has been on a hunger strike since Sunday, May 16, 2021, in protest of the treatment of prisoners by the prison authorities and the judiciary.

According to news published by the Kurdistan Human Rights Society, Sakineh Parvaneh was transferred to the prison clinic due to a drop in pressure and gastrointestinal distress, and despite the advice of health doctors to immediately dispatch to the hospital, she was held in Ward 5 of the prison because of opposition from the Iranian Information Administration.

As of this writing, the Iranian prison authorities have not responded to her requests and have continued to violate the prisoner's rights.

It should be noted that his protest was not for reasons of pursuing personal demands and her protest is against the illegal treatment of political activists and prisoners by the prison authorities and the Iranian judiciary.
